The oldest daughter of Sue and John, Hayley is a highly motivated individual in both her professional and sporting careers.

Hayley has represented Australia at the 2017 and 2022 Women’s Lacrosse World Cup.

Her exceptional skills across organisational administration and high quality content creation have provided her with the ability to efficiently manage complex projects and events.

Husband of the late Sue Sofarnos, John has an entrepreneurial spirit, and is a highly motivated individual with strong leadership skills, focused on creating a dynamic team with a passion for driving results and value.

A driving force behind the creation of the Sue Sofarnos Foundation John is in the role of Chair. 

His corporate career as a General Manager for Repco has provided him with excellent business skills and experience which can be applied to the foundation.

The youngest daughter of Sue and John, Jessica is an actor, writer and creative and commercial producer as both a freelancer and co-founder of her production company Suzy.

Commercially, Jess brings with her, experience as a Senior Project Manager at two of Australia’s largest magazine publishers in the beauty, fashion, FMCG and automotive categories saw her produce and manage large-scale campaigns.

Karen Burns is an experienced operations and program leader in the youth and community sector, with strong expertise in fundraising, governance, and program delivery. As Operations Manager at Blue Light Victoria, she has led statewide initiatives and successfully managed donor relationships. On the Sue Sofarnos Foundation board, Karen applies her fundraising and strategic oversight skills to support programs that empower women and girls in sport.

Steph Swann is a senior leader in environmental conservation and strategic governance. As CEO of the Odonata Foundation, she leads programs focused on biodiversity recovery and builds collaborative partnerships across government, business, and the community. On the Sue Sofarnos Foundation board, Steph brings expertise in strategic planning, risk and performance management, and mission-driven leadership, helping to guide initiatives that empower women and girls in sport while ensuring strong governance and sustainable impact.

Sean Clarke brings governance, sport leadership, and community development experience to the Sue Sofarnos Foundation. As a Board Member, he helps shape strategy, oversee initiatives, and ensure strong governance. A lifelong lacrosse advocate, Sean has served on the Williamstown Lacrosse Club committee, including the Finance portfolio, and uses his experience as a player, coach, and administrator to advance the Foundation’s mission of empowering women and girls in sport.
